Our Story
Coffee, and the art of the present moment.
Aurum Brew was born from a simple belief — that the few quiet minutes you spend with your morning cup are worth protecting. We source small-lot beans from the highlands of Costa Rica and roast them in mindful batches, so every pour is an invitation to pause, breathe, and begin again.

Where it begins
From the highlands of Costa Rica
It starts in the volcanic soil and cloud-cooled air of Costa Rica's mountains, where coffee grows slowly and gathers the depth we chase in every roast. We partner with small farms that tend their land with patience — people who measure a good year not only in harvests, but in the health of the soil and the community around it.
Those same unhurried rhythms shape how we roast: in small batches, by feel as much as by number, coaxing out the character of each origin instead of rushing it along. What lands in your cup is a little piece of that place — and an invitation to slow to its pace.
"Good coffee can't be hurried. Neither can a good morning."

Where it grows
Grown in Costa Rica
Our beans come from the western highlands, more than 3,600 feet up, where the air stays cool and the volcanic soil runs deep with minerals. At that altitude the cherries ripen slowly — and slow ripening is what builds sweetness, acidity and the layered complexity you taste in the cup.
These mountains are not an efficient place to farm. They are a beautiful one. The terrain is steep, the harvest is done by hand, and the weather decides the calendar. We think that difficulty is exactly what makes the coffee worth drinking.
"Altitude is patience, measured in metres."

Who grows it
Sourced with Care
We work with small family farms rather than large estates — growers who have tended the same slopes for generations and who measure a good year not only in kilos, but in the health of their soil and the wellbeing of the people who pick.
That means paying properly, buying consistently, and building relationships that outlast a single harvest. When farmers can plan for the future, they farm better. Everyone downstream — including you — tastes the difference.
"Good coffee begins with fair hands."

How we roast
Roasted Mindfully
Every origin arrives with its own character, so we roast in small batches and adjust by feel as much as by number — listening for the crack, watching the colour turn, pulling each roast the moment it shows its best rather than the moment the schedule says.
A larger roast would be faster and cheaper. It would also flatten the very differences that make a single-origin worth seeking out. We would rather protect the identity of the bean than save an hour.
"We roast to reveal the bean, never to overwrite it."

Why it matters
Made for Real Moments
All of this — the altitude, the partnerships, the careful roasting — exists for something quite small: the few unhurried minutes you spend with your first cup of the day.
That is the moment we design for. Not the collector's shelf, but the everyday ritual — the mug reached for before the house wakes, the slow refill at your desk, the quiet one after everyone's asleep. Coffee good enough to notice, made for a life that is actually lived.
"Drink your coffee. Breathe it in. The world can wait a little longer."
